Too Many Books Too Little Time

About

I’m an ordinary guy. One of the millions. Working in a corporation as a Project Manager. Taking care of my family. Reading books. Listening to podcasts. Trying to be a bit efficient as I realize that the time is limited.

One of the things that bothers me – besides world peace (yes, I borrowed this from the Miss Congeniality movie) is that there are still too many unsecured websites out there. I think, there are 3 possible ways how to approach this:

  • Ignore the issue
  • Complain about the issue everywhere and do nothing
  • Do something about it

Well, I was in stages 1 & 2 for some time. But eventually, my dissatisfaction has grown too big to ignore it. And so here I am. Begging people to implement SSL certificates on their websites. Because, what could possible go wrong, right?

As I’m trying to help out with my activities, writing, reaching out to people, explaining risks, providing solutions related to Internet security, I will also mention some of the books and tools that I find helpful (or warn against those that I find not working).

And then there are books. Life is too short to read all great books. So, as a part of idea exchange, I offer you short summaries and reviews of a few books I read. I also appreciate reviews from other book lovers when deciding what to read next. I hope this will be helpful for you and you’ll find some value in it.

Disclaimer

Although at this point this is a free time activity (is there such a thing as free time?), I learned that there is something like affiliate offers, which I’m using in some of the posts. This means that some links to the services, products, and tools mentioned on this website might be affiliate links, where I might get a commission, but there’s NO extra charge for you. This will help me to maintain the site – pay for a domain, hosting, premium plugins, technical, coding, and design services. And if there’s anything left, I’ll use it for coffee.

Privacy

I have installed Google Analytics, just to see if people are even interested in my help. And give you an option to subscribe to a newsletter (although at this point I don’t have a clear idea of what to do with that). BUT, one thing is clear: I’m not going to sell or provide your information to anybody. Period.

OK, that’s about it. I hope you’ll enjoy reading this blog and find it helpful. Wish you all the best in your professional and personal life. And world peace!
